We can’t wait to come back! We’re in room 5 & the 4 poster bed & decor is just lovely. We come out into a communal balcony which is a delight to sit and have a cup of tea. All around the Abbey there is the history of the place written up. It was a Nunnery & a boarding school and now a hotel. The owners are lovely. You know the eggs are fresh, & the chickens free range, as they running around the Abbey grounds. It’s just lovely. The wall as thick sandstone and just an architectural delight. Warwick has some great things to do and see, so stay more than 1 night.

This is a lovely building and great to visit but im not sure I would stay again. The owners were welcoming and very friendly but the room was small, although it accurately matched the description when I booked. The private bathroom was down the corridor from the room but was clean and well equipped. I found the bed a tad hard and didn't sleep well either night I was here. The community areas were closed due to COVID (understandable). I just found it a bit overpriced for what we actually got.

As part of a road trip from Brisbane we decided to stay in Warwick for the night once we happened across this boutique hotel while searching Google. So glad we did. From the moment you drive in, to the moment you check out you are looked after. We were greeted, checked in and taken on a quick familiarisation tour as well as given great historical information about the hotel. We chose the West Wing for our stay, which is luxurious and has a small sitting area on the veranda where we shared a cheese platter with friends as we watched the sun set. The bed in this room is like sleeping on a cloud! The bath tub, which is in the bedroom is just perfect and the room has an artificial fireplace which keeps you toasty warm. For dinner we prebooked the $48 (2 course) dinner, which included a drink. The food was delicious, the service friendly and the setting quaint. As it was July, the room was decorated for Christmas in July. Breakfast is a light selection of cereal and breads, which was ample considering we were heading to Stanthorpe to taste test to our heart’s content! Definitely happy to stay here again and would recommend this venue to anyone who enjoys a touch of old world charm.

Lovely location and beautiful rooms. Had a private bathroom but that was outside of the room down a small hallway. The room had reverse air conditioning and a fire place. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbey of the Roses. Sonia is a friendly and professional host and we could not have been made more welcome. After not being able to travel anywhere for several months, and after having a trip to Spain and Portugal cancelled, it was fun to be able to stay somewhere so different but so comfortable and within an easy drive of Brisbane. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and we appreciated the complimentary port/sherry after dinner and the amuse bouche served with breakfast as well as the cheese plate when we arrived. The history of the abbey is fascinating and we loved Room 8 which had an ensuite - it's not the biggest room available but it suited us perfectly. It was great to have a bar fridge to keep our beer and wine cool for our afternoon drinks on the verandah and we also made use of the bicycles for a ride around Warwick. We still haven't been to Spain and Portugal but at least we've now been to Abbey of the Roses and there's a very good chance that we'll go again!
