Travellers' Choice
Opened by renowned hotelier Cesar Ritz in 1906, The Ritz today still retains all the glamour and excitement synonymous with this world famous hotel. Perfectly located in a landmark position on Piccadilly in the heart of London's West End, the 136 room luxury hotel is ideally placed to suit both business and leisure visitors alike. Now totaling 111 bedrooms and 25 suites, the elegant rooms combine the original Louis XVI style interiors with modern day technology. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful rooms in the world, The Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant features a magnificent frescoed ceiling with west facing windows overlooking the Terrace, the Italian Garden and Green Park beyond. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with a Dinner Dance on Friday and Saturdays. The Palm Court restaurant offers, most famously, daily Afternoon Tea service which has been popular since the hotel first opened. The stylishly updated Rivoli Bar was designed by Tessa Kennedy and features Art Deco styled interiors. Open daily with a bar menu. Private dining facilities at William Kent House, the 18th century mansion house at The Ritz, include an exquisite selection of banquet rooms and suites. Possibly the most elegant and opulent private rooms in London, William Kent House offers the perfect venue for private receptions, weddings, boardroom meetings, lunches, dinners and gala events. The Ritz London is a Grade II star listed building and in 2002 became the first hotel to receive the Royal Warrant from his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for banqueting and catering services.

Where do I start? As soon as our cab pulled up myself and my wife were greeted by a gentleman who was so polite and so welcoming and made us feel like part of a family than just a guest. We entered the Ritz and as we were a couple of hours early for our afternoon tea we were escorted to the bar area and was seated. Again the staff in the bar were ever so friendly and welcoming. We finally arrived to be seated at our table for afternoon tea and I refuse to call them anything else beside gentleman, he went through everything for us, as we explained this is our first visit here. Made us feel so relaxed had a few jokes, kept checking on us if we required anything, if there was anything he could do for us, nothing but professional. The sandwiches were amazing, so many flavours and just the right amount. My wife who is a vegetarian and also does not eat egg or fish loved every single sandwich and I must admit I even stole one of hers and it tasted so lovely. Again leaving the Ritz the gentleman outside was again so friendly and brilliant. We had an amazing experience and I do recommend visiting the Ritz at least once in your life time just for afternoon tea. The entire staff were brilliant, friendly, polite and experienced. I do give this experience 9.5 out of 10. And the only reason I have taken 0.5 off is I would had been more comfortable taking my suit jacket off but everywhere I read mentioned that they prefer you to keep it on, as I looked around everyone did have there’s on, BUT if I asked anyone I might had been able but I did not ask could be my fault. To everyone at the Ritz thankyou for a great time.

My husband and I took my son and daughter in law to The Ritz Hotel restaurant for lunch today. We had a great time with wonderful food. The service we received we could not fault, all the staff were professional, helpful and friendly- a real ‘dining experience’. I would not hesitate to recommend The Ritz Hotel for a special lunch as you would not be disappointed.

A 60th birthday stay and restaurant, it was a surprise to stay and dine with the ritz. Expectation was high, we have had afternoon tea but to get to stay in the ritz was something else. It was like stepping back in time. Both service and room was lovely, very clean. The Rivoli bar was a great experience and the restaurant was great. A Michael Bublé style singer and amazing starter and beef Wellington. The whole experience was fabulous. The one area I felt needed attention was the one way system for Covid. People ignored it. Reception was too confusing and people who are staying clearly don’t do queuing. Not sure how this can be better because space is limited, it’s an old building but this does need attention, don’t get me wrong, I did feel safe, my temperature was taken but clearer signage perhaps? Just a suggestion.

Booked a mid week 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What makes this place special for me is that you are made to feel truly welcome and not just another guest. We dined there on the first night in the Ritz Restaurant and had cocktails in the Rivoli Bar before dining. The Rivoli Bar makes the enjoying of cocktails really special. The dining experience at the Ritz was one of our best Michelin Star experiences and was in no way rushed. We were in there from 8:00pm until 11:30 which means we must have been enjoying it. The piano music and the female soloist will transport you back to a bygone era in a dining hall which I doubt has changed much since the 1920s, which is superbly maintained. We were back there the next morning for breakfast which did not disappoint and once again the staff make it just so special. The staff here make you feel special, treat you as if you are the only person there and not just another number, looking forward to returning soon.

Stayed Sunday night 20/09/20. The whole experience was magical.Even with Covid changes followed to the max ! Beautiful decor, throughout. Fabulous cocktails in the Rivoli bar & the FOOD was delicious. We treated ourselves to the beef Wellington-sublime ! The staff are friendly, helpful & discrete. Coming through reception we chanced upon Executive chef Mr. John Williams MBE & head concierge Mr. Michael de Cozar discussing a work issue. I confess to having been overcome at seeing both of these well know people -- they stopped discussing what they had to sort out re work and we had a quick chat about the hotel ,kitchen .Such a lovely gesture ,as all guest's are made to feel that nothing is too much trouble or an inconvenience . Afternoon tea was a delight.Do dress up, wear a tie .The Palm court is there to make you feel special! THANK YOU everyone for a lovely stay ---We will be back !!
