#71 of 166 hotels in Tulum
Nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the jungle of Tulum, we seek to provide a unique experience where art and nature intertwine to create an environment to reconnect with oneself. We have built elevated wooden paths that twist and turn, which allow trees to grow freely and let the jungle’s native inhabitants to move undisturbed below. All premises are lit exclusively by candlelight, creating a natural ambiance perfect for a relaxing retreat or a romantic getaway. AZULIKS's beach is a space to experience nature at its best, offering its guests a freeing place to enjoy themselves where clothing is optional. Within our premises, you can discover 48 unique villas, a contemporary art gallery, a House of Ancestral Medicine, a spa and wellness center, a fashion boutique, a beauty sanctuary, a beach club, and three restaurants -Mexican, Japanese, and farm-to-table- that offer the most elevated gastronomic experiences in Tulum.

We had reserved Azulik for our anniversary and had our plane tickets and everything reserved for our 3 night stay in a Sky Villa. I emailed them a few weeks before our trip to ask if a late checkout was possible. Their answer shocked us. They told us they would be closing the month of October and they could help us reschedule. This is the second time we rescheduled with them by their request (the first being 100% understandable since it was during March when COVID quarantines began) which we lost the plane tickets and purchased new ones for our October dates. What was outrageous is that we were never contacted about our reservation being cancelled or anything advising us they would be closing during the month of October. For the category of hotel and price range of the rooms I expected way better service!

Large (banned) Hotel party invited the National Army response into the Tulum hotel district during COVID-19..making a lockdown evolve into martial law (no alcohol even allowed to be brought into Tulum beach areas in cars). Most appreciated !!

This is an earth friendly place so i advise anyone who's going to watch the videos (on youtube). i like the idea it has and how it plays to trying to do what's best for the environment. it's not a hard pitch, nor is it hard to abide by their rules to have a REALLY good time. Go with an open mind and you'll enjoy it. I went with my wife and it was truly a wonderful experience. i'll give you my pros and cons below. I'll start with the cons: Cons: 1. smells - there are some not so pleasant smells due to still waters. it's not all over the property but dont be alarmed. 2. mosquitos - well it's the jungle, so you cant really complain. you gotta deal with it. the property is against mosquitos sprays. come on, it's earth friendly. what did you expect. 3. food - i can forgive the first 2 but this is one they need to work on. - every time we tried to order, they messed up our food. - the menu still had items that were discontinued or "ran out". they seem to run out of something at every meal and/or no longer served the item(s). - we could never confirm a dinner reservation through our angel. 4. the beach bar - when we arrived, the beach bar was closing and we were there a full hour and 15 mins before time. Pros: 1. the angels - they were very nice. they took their time to go over all the features and amenities of the property. they used text/whatsapp to assist whenever needed 2. the propery - they really do make almost everything out of wood. we had sky villas so our view was SPECTACULAR! i highly recommend if you're going to get a sky villas. the night views, the sounds of the ocean, the balcony features/furniture make you never want to leave the room! 3. the food - what they do have to serve, you'll enjoy it! we loved the breakfast. it was the best meal they provide in my opinion. 4. the bird's nest - they have more than 1, but i'm talking about the one right above the Japanese restaurant where you get to see the sunset and party at the top with the DJ. again, it's a tree house so it does move, so dont be frightened. it was a great party with beverages and appetizers. 5. the ritual cleansing - this Mayan ritual was pretty cool and adds to the experience. we enjoyed it. it's a different way of welcoming you to the property. To Note: 1. only 1 villas has a shower so be aware of that. the bathing experience is.... shocking. hahaha 2. again, no mosquito spray so try to be prepared for that. 3. flying into cancun, it's a long drive to the property. dont go the cheap route and i'm cheap! 4. is it clothing optional on the beach, but it's not a nude beach experience. 5. people come to dine and party who are not hot hotel guest so make sure you keep your items secured. 6, free yoga!!!

They are awful and rude. They lie to keep people out and cultivate an “influencer scene”. This place should be shut down for how it treats people. Once you get in the service is awful. I was told they don’t want gays in the beach club. We were guests and they tried to prevent us from getting into the hotel. Then they treated us like garbage for the rest of our stay. Such shameful hospitality. A stain on the reputation of Mexico’s welcoming hospitable culture.
