This museum is free on Uniqlo evenings. The MoMA is a must see museum! We never miss it when we are in New York!

It does not disappoint. The museum has plenty of world class pieces of art and its building is also fascinating. Located in the heart of Midtown NY and a short walk from Central Park, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in NY.

We went here during Thanksgiving weekend so there were a lot of people. Not sure if it's that way every day. But when we went, walking space is a bit narrow on some areas so be prepared to crab walk around. Otherwise, great collection of modern and impressionist artworks. Make sure you're ready to spend some money on the shop. Their wares are irresistably chic and artsy. I bought some souvenir and gifts. Most of the stuff are pretty pricey but I bought some magnets, postcards and bookmarks for a decent price. If you're into sentimental junk, the tickets also have artworks on them so you can keep them. Mine had a still shot from the anime movie Spirited Away! Wow! One of my faves so I definitely kept it. If you're an artist or have artist friends, make sure you buy the rainbow colored pencils here. Theirs is a really high quality one that you can't buy anywhere else (unless you but at their online shop, but then it'll be expensive from there). I only bought one. Wish I bought at least 5. When I was done with mine, I tried looking for a similar one online but it's never the same.

I've always been interested in the arts and took many art classes in highschool and college so I have always had a fond appreciation for it; however, throughout all my years of learning I'd see the same famous works over and over again so I became a bit desensitized to the beauty of a few pieces, especially Van Gogh's. Getting to see "Starry Night" and many of Monet and Picasso's works in real life completely blew me away though. They are much more rich and vibrant in-person and have a totally different impact as opposed to seeing them in a book or print! Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Although dadaism isn't my favorite I am a fan of many of the works in the museum and the statue garden outside. They also have installations that change things up every so often so there's always something new.

Since it was founded in 1929, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has been at the leading edge of Modenism. Many of its paintings are masterpieces, such as van Gogh's "Starry NIght." MoMA led the way with breakout exhibtions for artists such as van Gogh and Picasso. MoMA has one of the world's largest and besst collections of Modern Art.
