The hike was awesome and I thoroughly recommend it. I am not a hiker, though I do some exercise at the gym. The guides (Al and Saraan) were great, watching out for everyone, and I was able to go really slow when I needed to (on the 3rd day) which helped a lot. (Do some steps, take a photo break while my knee muscles recover, start again) ParkTrek's lodge was spacious and comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms and there is a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck. In the morning and evening, we had the chance to see 1-5 wallabies and even a potaroo. Little birds flitted around and the passionfruit like vine on the house attracted fuzzy bumble bees making for lots of lovely views and photos. Al and Saraan prepared delicious dinners for us, too. Each day we were dropped off for a hike. The views were stunning and beautiful and I can't recommend them highly enough. Even though we had constant light rain on the 3rd day, it was a different view and possibly that's why people got to see a couple of echidnas on/near the path. In the afternoons after the walks, for those who still had some energy, Al and Saraan dropped us at nearby attractions on the Tasman peninsula. These include the Port Arthur historical site (massive ruins of the prison colony), chocolate factory, Unzoo (these 2 are near each other), gin tasting and wine tastings. I can highly recommend the 3 that I did, being the historical site, the chocolate factory and Unzoo (the last 2 are near each other so can be done together). The high speed boat on the 3rd day was a really good way to see the coast, it's cliffs, seal and cormorant colonies. The views were stunning and the ride was a lot of fun. (For those without back issues, I sat at the front and there were a number of times were it was like a roller coaster; for those with back issues you can sit to the back or stand at the very back) Then on the way back, our guides even took us (our choice) for another really nice walk near the rainbow caves and then on to a winery for a tasting. I thoroughly recommend the trip and would recommend ParkTrek to everyone :) Tip: though it's listed as optional, I highly recommend 1 or 2 hiking poles. I used a shock absorber one and it really helped me throughout the 3 days of hiking (especially day 3 with all the steps).

A great experience was encountered on the Overland Track Cradle Mountain Huts and The Three Capes Lodges. These trips were well organized with good food and great guides who were knowledgeable in regards to the animals and flora on the tracks. The views were incredible and the hikes, especially, the optional side trips off the Overland Track were challenging. If you wish to hike those tracks with guides then I would recommend The Tasmanian Walking Company.

We are just ending our epic trip to Australia. We've been many times before but this is the first time years. The crown jewel of our experience was a 4 day hiking experience through the Tasman capes. This epic trip is run through the Tasmania Walking Company which really put a lot of thought from beginning to end to ensure we had a great experience. We're not hikers to begin with so the fact that we were able to do this hike with modest effort was a great testament to the care they put into the experience. We flew into Hobart and stayed at the Macq01 hotel across the street. You should make sure you have everything that they asked you to purchase on the list. This is not an experience for those who have chronic medical conditions. Unpack and then pack your stuff into back packs and then off you go. Each evening you return to one of their beautifully constructed environmentally friendly lodges. Food and drinks are prepared for you each day so all you have to worry about is the hike itself. For those interested in local flora and fauna, this is the adventure for you. You'll see plants and animals unique only to this area. The guides we had were entertaining, knowledgeable and always there to lend our group a hand when we needed it. Shout out to Claire and Hesh (sorry if I misspelled it!). They were fantastic guides and a great team who ensured we got from point A to point B. Even as a person who came in knowing a lot about plants and animals in the area, I learned a ton. Orchids everywhere when we were there in the summer. Despite the heat in Hobart, the walk was not bad at all as you trek through the forest. Can't wait to come back to Tasmania and I can't recommend enough Tasmania Walking Company and I can't wait until our next trip with them!

My Three Capes experience far exceeded my expectations. I got to experience this with two close girlfriends and we were all impressed. If you're after the ultimate experience, a challenge (for some), world-class scenery, first-class service (by the guides and lodge managers) ... then you will love this walk! I am not a hiker, never have been, but this experience has left me wondering what one I'll do next (with Tas Walking Co.). Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the amazing, spectacular coastline walks scenery, the swathes of blooming wildflowers, the exciting challenge of the daily walks, the first class ambience of the Crescent and Cape Pillar Lodges, the enthusiasm of the friendly guides and the gourmet creations of the welcoming Lodge hosts/chefs and the excellent Tasmanian wines offered, the professional, excellent communication with The Tasmanian Walking Company personnel and the happy companionship of the diverse group of walkers, to share together our interests and walking experiences. I highly reccommend The Tasmanian Walking Company's Three Capes Lodge Walk.
