Me and my Girlfriend had a tasting at 10:30 am on Monday, we love the view as well as the Cube. The Team had time for all our questions and to tell us about the wines we tried. The wines are great - don't miss the "dead arm Shiraz". Great experience, would do it again.

Terrible. Over rated. Poorly laid out. Confusing. Cluttered. Expensive. At least half the people we saw were lost or annoyed. Exhibitions are like something for the 1990s. Try-hard art. Pompous. Quantity not quality. We went to see the Dali exhibition. Badly designed and poor lighting made the imitations look worse we got free entry because we had lunch at the beautiful Darryl's Verandah or we would not have paid to go in. I would have happily paid to get out though. Top floor wine tasting quite limited and hectic atmosphere. Bought some wine which we were told to collect from a shed in the carpark because it was more convenient. Got there to find a queue and our wine wasn't ready so what was the point? Awful experience. Will eat at Darryl's Verandah again, but will hurry back to the car and drive away without glancing at the Cube.

Response from dArenberg C, Reservations and Customer Service at d'Arenberg

Hi S5686XWsandrar, Thank you for visiting d'Arenberg and for taking the time to provide your feedback - great to hear you enjoyed your experience in d'Arrys Verandah Restaurant. We apologize that you felt your visit to the d'Arenberg Cube did not live up to your expectations. Our fourth generation and Chief Winemaker worked on this project for many years and each installation in the Cube has been created to express our rich 108 years of history, the wines / wine labels and the four generations of family members. We believe that we offer an interactive immersive experience for our guests and understand that art is interpreted by people differently. It is disappointing to hear that you found the installations not to your taste but we do hope you enjoyed the magnificent views over the region from our fourth floor tasting room. We certainly aim to offer a great selection of our extensive range through tastings and have adapted this to current restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 crisis. These restrictions limit us to seated tastings at this stage and we apologize that the space felt hectic for you. I am sorry to hear there was a slight delay in our Stables Antique Wine Shop when you collected your wine. We aim to have all wines ready for collection on arrival to the wine shop and sometimes during our peak periods there may be small delays. We would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss this with you further if you would like to call us on 08 8329 4888. Kind regards

We tee’d this up with a booking at the restaurant. The wine tasting and Dali art exhibition were free if you ate at the restaurant. Quirky building with lots to see and do in a small space. Polite and friendly staff. Great wine tasting experience. Well worth a visit.

Finally got to go inside this wonderful & wacky venue! The main restaurant is now a casual bistro with the tasting room upstairs. Love the olive grove chardonnay & don't forget to check out the toilets as they are loos with a view!! The original Darry's verandah restaurant is still operating so will return soon!

My wife and I visited this winery today. It is very commercial. The tasting is reasonably priced and the staff member that attended to us Eliza was lovely, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The building is a very interesting shape and is definitely worth visiting due to its uniqueness. If you like commercial wines this is definitely one for you
