Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough and Kilkenny Day Tour from Dublin

1,262 reviews
Combine some of Ireland's natural wonders and historic highlights on this full-day tour from Dublin, an easy and efficient way to explore the countryside.?Transport between Wicklow National Park, Wicklow Gap, Glendalough, and Kilkenny gives you more time to focus on the sights rather than stressful navigation. Guide commentary brings historic sites to life; guided and independent elements allow ample free time; and onboard Wi-Fi keeps boredom at bay.?

My wife and I had a lunch here yesterday. I ordered an “Open Prawn Sandwich” at a cost of €11.95 ... What a rip off .. no whole prawns visible whatsoever basically all it consisted of was a load of shredded coleslaw that include some chopped up prawns which really had to be searched for to find, some salad leaves all on two slices of brown soda bread. A prawn cocktail stater costing €11.95 in any decent restaurant would be loaded with prawns .. I returned it and got a refund.

The worst experience of bad hospitality ever, went to that horrible cafe today and asked to use the toilet as we went to order coffee to be humiliated by some jumped up blonde self important witch. To be told use the toilet across the street, as we were not customers.?? To return and my darling husband ordered coffees, while I waited in the courtyard, when he returned at 2.50 p. M to be told the tables had been reserved at 3 pm, our guests were mortified by the servering wenches behavior, when I went into the establishment I was told I was a liar when I said I was going to the bathroom, and questioned by some self important abnoxious blonde old woman behind the counter, one toilet and ten people ahead of me when I finally got past the security serving wench, would I recommend this place no, would I condone such a poor service to customers, no,, horrible woman horrible staff, don't waste your time or money, over priced and crappy crapachinos with crappy attitude,, I won't be back, I've never been so embarrassed by such a nasty jumped up serving wench,, that tried making me out to be a liar and nah,,, shame on you, even to see a poor bus driver ask to use the toilet and her behavior, the keeper of the toilet in full throttle embarrassed for the establishment.. Plenty more people deserve a job that that old woman behind the counter..

This seemed like the best stop in Kilkenny for really authentic and artisanal Irish gifts. We didn't venture into the cafe but found some awesome hats, ceramics and jewelry there. A great stop after visiting Kilkenny Castle!

Two generic gift shops near the cafe and four others were the only things open during our visit. I expected to see many more small artisans. Enjoyed visiting with the potter and brought home a couple of pieces. Also had an excellent visit with Desmond Byrne. He’s a wonderful silver craftsman. If not for these two little shops our visit would have been a complete bust! Five stars for those two one for the rest!

Any visitors or locals to Kilkenny looking for excellent quality and choice of vegan and vegetarian cuisine check out the Design Centre restaurant. Congratulations to the staff and chef for creating a flagship in Kilkenny.
