The oldest trick in the world. Rip off customers in a busy market. I gave the vendor a ￡20 and he said it was a ￡5. I only had a ￡20 pound note on me. You have no recourse. Nothing but Rip off merchants. Stay away.

No metal overhead, it's an outdoor street market... old markets such as this made London great ! Definitely worth passing by. Actually, it's quite posh and upmarket nowadays.

Full of flowers and veg and fruit the sellers are great and the shops nearby and the cafes to have a snack

Pleased that this popular market has reopened. I arrived around 2pm as the stalls were beginning to close. There were some good bargains to be had with plenty of variety. Ended up buying a Camellia, Buddleia, Anemone and Blueberry plant (A Lupin and Orchid last week too!). All very good quality. Don’t be shy to haggle as the traders are friendly. Parking restrictions vary if driving so check carefully. Entry was one way at the Ravenscroft Street end. It was still reasonably busy but did not have to queue when I arrived. …
