A friend highly recommended this place and we decided to book it for dinner since we would be staying for 3 nights at Mornington at Rosebud. The grandeur to the entrance of the estate and the views from the dining area were both magical and mesmerizing. The food was fantastic and we paired them with an amazing bottle of pinot noir. Service from the waiting staff was good and loved the seasonal menu. Definitely a great place to enjoy a relaxed and casual dinner.

Sadly the day I visited was in January and the smoke from the fires had all but covered the whole winery. Never the less we booked in for lunch and a wine tasting. The staff and food was world class, you couldn’t wish for better service or friendly staff. The wine tasting was a little disappointing as our host was more interested in talking to younger people at the end of the bar. There is a surcharge for the wine tasting which I thought was disappointing given that four of us booked in for lunch.

We went during a rainy day on a Thursday and it wasn’t packed at all. It was great and the wines were fun to taste. Great sculpture garden in the back

What a lovely place. Merricks has a lot of history and this complex is really outstanding. If I was visiting from overseas I would think it was very classy. The scene over looking Western Port Bay and the art objects were fabulous. People were drinking the wines and really enjoying themselves. The parking was excellent and lighting first class. This place could not be faulted.
